He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Beecher Jenkins and Ollie Dillard Jenkins; his wife Joyce Lowe Jenkins (Joyce) of Athens, GA; his siblings, Margaret Jenkins Yarborough, Marcile Jenkins Kitchens and Austin Jenkins; and his son Titus Sibley Jenkins.
He is survived by: his brother Tyson Jenkins (Marie) of Danielsville, GA; his children, Donna Smith of Hull, GA, Jan Filkins (Steve) of Danielsville, GA, Mark Jenkins (Mary) of Danielsville, GA and Nathan Jenkins of Danielsville, GA; and his grandchildren, Matt Smith (Sue) of Athens, GA, Brent Smith, Seth Filkins (Alyssa), Tim Filkins, Joy Jenkins Henry (Jonathan), Rebecca Jenkins Cochran (Jon), Daniel Jenkins (Sarah), W. Africa, Chris Jenkins (Katie), Bonnie Walker Stahl (Michael) of Athens, GA and Daniel Walker (Carly). He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank Hill Haven Nursing Home, Commerce, GA, as well as Compassus Hospice and Pallative Care for their many acts of kindness in Ray's final days, especially since the family was unable to be with him due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
