He was predeceased by: his parents, Alma Crawford Jenkins and James Vandiver Jenkins, Sr.; his wife Jane Coppedge Jenkins; his son David Crawford Jenkins; and his nephew Howard Jenkins Hunt.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, James V. Jenkins III, Mat Hunt, Harriet Jenkins Gray and Dr. Annie.
