He was predeceased by: his parent Jestus Bond "J. B.". He is survived by: his wife Karen Fendley Gordon; his son Zachary Michael Gordon; and his siblings, Derenda Wood (Dillard) and Rick Gordon (Jan). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
