He was predeceased by: his parents, B. Eldridge Russell and Leoana Locke Russell; and his brother Alvin Russell. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Killingsworth Hayes Russell; his children, Janie Jackson (Greg), Suzi Russell and Rick Russell; his stepchildren, L. Jeffery Hayes (Carol), Phyllis Jenkins (Cecil) and Susan Rule (Tim); his grandchildren, Heather Voss, Brittany Berger, Jeffery Hayes, Jennifer Brantley, Kellie King, Christopher Jenkins, Stephanie Hubbard and Julie Smith; his nephew Ronnie; and his niece Debbie. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
