He was predeceased by: his parents, William Horace Thompson and Henrietta Meyer Thompson; and his sisters, Edna Brewster and Mary Strickland. He is survived by: his wife Ola Sue Thompson (Thompson) of Hoschton; his children, Victoria Joy Doud (Thompson) of Tampa, Andrea (Thompson), Eric Kevin O'Kelley of Oakwood, William Todd and Abby Thompson of Keller, TX; his stepchildren, John Paul, Sabrina Garrison, R. Brian and Shannon Garrison; his grandchildren, Hailey Robin Thompson, Mitchell Cain Pinson, Hillary Pinson Huchinson, Hannah Doud Hermosilla, David Garrison, Kris Sexton and Brianna Garrison; his great grandchild John Karter Sexton; and the mother of his children Miriam Chandler.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to First Baptist Church Music Program 751 Green Street Gainesville, GA 30501.
