With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia Gies Rawlins of Hoschton, Georgia, who passed away on August 5, 2024 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Thomas and Mazewell Virginia Gies; her husband Michael Erle Rawlins; and her siblings, Charles Gies and Gloria Gies.
She is survived by: her children, Cathy Landreneau of Cumming and Lane Coile of Braselton; and her sisters, Alice Gies, Jane Burruss of Myrtle Beach and Helen Derrick of Newport News, VA. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
