She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Cecil Carter and Katherine Elvina Ingram Jones; her daughter Melinda Kay Carter; her grandson Gregory Pruitt; and her siblings, Bobby Joe Carter of Ronald Homer, Joseph Dean "Joe" Carter, Randall Lee "Bull" Carter, Omer Gene "Boggie" Carter and Betty Ruth Potts.
She is survived by: her husband Herman Brock; her daughters, Brandi Kay Boggus (Perry Pruitt) and Jamielyn Brown (Jonathan Brown); her grandchildren, Katie Lynn Matteson (David Matteson), Jacob Howard Brown and Perrionna Faith Pruitt; and her siblings, Robert "Gene" Carter (Zelda Carter), Danny Wilburn Hubbard "Hub", Sara Ann Duncan and Patricia "Polly" Carter Hunnicut (James Hunnicut).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Lawson Funeral Home Chapel (4532 Hwy 53, Hoschton, GA 30548). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
