He was predeceased by: his parents, Sardis Tate and Evelyn Tate. He is survived by: his wife Christine Vandiver Tate; his children, Isaiah Tate, Benjamin Tate, Travis Tate and Trabian Short; his sister Sharon A. Stephens; his mother-in-law Shirley W. Vandiver; and his sisters-in-law, Andell Corley (John) and Aretha Dawn Vandiver. He is also survived by nephews; and a host of other relatives.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fairview AME Church (2115 Watkins Rd, Anderson, SC 29625).
