He was predeceased by: his grandson Adam Blake Smith; his parents, Bonnie Maddox and Evelyn Higgins Maddox; and his siblings, Rita Bennett and Carey Maddox (Stanley Pugh).
He is survived by: his wife Cheryle Maddox of Hoschton, GA; his children, Jimmy Maddox (Alma) of Dacula, GA, Jan Smith (Mike) of Buford, GA and Jesse Maddox (Amelia) of Madison, GA; his grandchildren, Lauren Tatum (Eric), Trent Bagley (Fran), Cory Smith (Deanna), Chandler Smith (Noah), Jacob Maddox and Julia Maddox; his great grandchildren, Paisley, Tresley, Brittan, Bryce, Mackinley, Blakely, Bryant, Moxon and Parker; his siblings, Sandra Wilson (Harry), Nancy Pugh, Ted Maddox (Janice), Mickey Maddox (Karen) and Bo Maddox (Becky); and his siblings-in-law, Billy Bennett and Nell Maddox. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
