He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clarence Eugene Carter and Winnie Lee Clark Carter; his sister Melinda Briggs; his nephew Glenn Russell Carter; his wife Gwen Lovell Carter of Hortense; his children, Steve Nipper of Waynesville, Joy (Jason Passanita), Kristi (Timothy Harper), Denise Carter Stephens (Aubrey) and Lindsey Carter (Jason Ammons); his grandchildren, Alexis Carter, Matthew Carter, Jayme Maxwell, Marco Passanita, Logan Harper, Tucker Harper, Tyler Harper, Scott Harper, Katlyn Harper, Madisun Nipper, Carter Nipper, Brock Nipper, Terry Stephens, Stephanie Stephens, Alice Stephens, Aubrey Carter and Marshall Carter Ammons; his great grandchildren, Colton Kindle, Charlotte Harper, Kaleb Harper and Paisleigh Boatwright; and his siblings, David Carter (Joey Carroll) of Brunswick, Angie Carter of Waverly and Anita Chandler of Waverly. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews and other relatives, and all other adopted kids, and a host of friends.
