It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Cleveland Smith of Hortense, Georgia, born in Fort Payne, Alabama, who passed away on April 23, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ray Smith and Mary U. Hastings Smith; his son Kevin Smith; his granddaughter Ashley Burkett; and his brother Charlie Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Sharron Smith of Hortense; his son Brian; his daughter-in-law Tina Smith of Birmingham, AL; his daughter Dena; his son-in-law Craig Hayes of Tuscaloosa, AL; his grandchildren, Mandi, Brittani, Summer, Kari, Brandon, Cheynne and Zachary; and his great grandchildren, Charlie, Melanie, Waylon, Grant and Anslee.
