He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Dennis Gailey and Ida Lee Dixon Box; and his stepfather James E. Box. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Phillips Gailey of Hortense; his sons, Jerry D. Gailey, III (Nicole) of White Oak and Matt Gailey (Shawn Gailey) of Atlanta; his grandson Drayton Gailey; and his sister Lynn Barber of Blackshear. He is also survived by grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
