It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Grace Howard Groover (Hortense, Georgia), who passed away on April 10, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Robby "Redd" Groover; and her siblings, David Howard and Nell Proudfoot. She is survived by: her husband Robert J. "Bobby" Groover of Mt. Pleasant; her daughters, Lisa Sanders (Keith) of Brunswick and Mary Ann Sawyer of Brunswick; her grandchildren, Reed Sanders (Alison), Hannah Lewis and Joshua Rooks; her great grandchildren, Morgan Lewis, Olivia Herman, Lainey and Landry Owens; and her siblings, Ann Torkildsen of Brunswick, Donnie Howard (Betty) of Jesup, Maxie Howard (Theresa) of Lavernia, Alvin Howard (Jackie) of Jesup and Valerie Howard of Kingsland. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Akin Church Cemetery (160 Sansavilla Rd, Hortense, GA 31543).
