He is survived by: his children, Pamela Gonzales (David) of Modesto, CA, Amanda "Happy" Ware (Matthew) of Los Angeles, CA and Victor Mercer (Janice) of Hortense; his grandchildren, Eric Strickland (Barbie) of Brunswick, Megan Gonzales (Dearry) of Modesto, CA, Katy Gonzales (Isaac) of Modesto, CA, Alexis Gonzales (Josh) of Modesto, CA, Gabriel Gonzales of Modesto, CA, Cameron Mercer of Hortense, Seth Mercer of Hortense, Zach Young (Stephanie) of Katy, TX, Braden Ware (Genevieve) of San Diego, CA and Kayelan Ware of Hortense; and his great grandchildren, Brooke of Brunswick, Lauren of Brunswick, Jaden of Modesto, CA, Damian of Modesto, CA, Ethan of Modesto, CA, Zoey of Modesto, CA, Ayden of Modesto, CA, Melody of Modesto, CA, Addison of Modesto, CA, Ellie of Modesto, CA, Ryder, Ryleigh of Hortense, Judah of Katy, TX, Harper of Katy, TX and Atticus of Hortense.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Frye Funeral Home (136 Satilla Ave, Nahunta, GA 31553). A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
