She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Matthews and Clarine Walls Matthews; her husband Richard C. Deckard, Sr.; her daughter Michelle Janes; and her siblings, Jewell Matthews and Kenneth Matthews.

She is survived by: her children, Richelle D. Waggoner of Hortense, Richard C. Deckard, Jr. of Hortense, Rafe L. Deckard of Gainesville, VA. and Stephen D. Deckard (Robyn) of Fort Mill, SC.; her grandchildren, Michael Moser (Laurie), Christopher Deckard, Nick Rushing, Julie Ann Marco, Meaghan Deckard, Devin Deckard of Richard Deckard, III., Connor Deckard and Brandon Deckard; her great grandchildren, Nikki Moser, Michael McTier, Michael K. Moser, Layton Rushing, Bella Deckard and Luca Marco; and her sister-in-law Barbara Kuipers (Ronald).
