He was predeceased by: his wife Debra Sue Dykes Mitchell. He is survived by: his children, Albert Wright Mitchell, Jr. (Mo) of Brunswick, Rosie Mitchell (Timothy) of Brunswick, Tracy Goddard (Steven) of Brunswick and Amanda Mitchell (William Watts) of Hortense; and his sisters, Joann Landon of Jesup and Dorisann Ribbon of Nahunta. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Frye Funeral Home (136 Satilla Ave, Nahunta, GA 31553). A memorial service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
