It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Zelma Ree Chauncey of Homerville, Georgia, who passed away on January 25, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nayon Smith (Bull) and Odessa Hendrix Smith; her husband Everal Chauncey; her sons, Clifton H. Davis, Jr. and Keith Chauncey; and her brother Tommy Smith.
She is survived by: her son Jerry Davis; her grandchildren, Paul Chauncey (Barbara), Damon Chauncey (Teresa), Greg Davis (Christie), Jason Coker, Emily Gilliard (Josh) and Cale Davis (Betsy Anna); her great grandchildren, Grace Chauncey, Callie Chauncey, Molly Davis, Maggie Davis, Aliyah Coker, Emma Mohr, Mariella Mohr, Kaceton Davis, Annagail Davis and Koati Davis; and her siblings, Marcie Brantley (Jimmy), Larry Smith (Vivian) and N. B. Smith. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Shiloh Church. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
