He is survived by: his wife Carylene Metts; his children, Roger Metts, Jr., Donna Metts, Amanda and Roy Lankford; his grandchildren, Bailey, Willy Waters, Britt Metts, Maggie Williams, Bentlee Metts, Jacob Gardner and Auden Lankford; his great grandchild Macky Metts Waters; and his brother Roy Metts (Chris).
In lieu of flowers, his wishes were for donations to be made to Brentwood Baseball, where grandson Britt Metts is the head coach.
