He is survived by: his wife Mayo Marie Harris Stephens of Homerville; his son Van Stephens (Melissa) of Homerville; and his grandchildren, Katie Vickers, Kyoletia Thomason, Maricia Thomas and Kayla DeBruhl. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews.
