He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Smith and Mary Margaret Smith; his sisters, Alice Denton of Brunswick, GA, Eleanor Studebaker of Homerville, GA, Imogene Futch of Homerville, GA and Winifred Godbolt of Waycross, GA.; his wife Lorine Smith of Ebro, FL; and his children, Deborah (Mike Hayes) of Homerville, GA and Greg Smith.
He is survived by: his brothers, William "Red" Smith of Homerville, GA and Nathaniel Smith (Jeanette) of Lake Panasoffkee, FL.; his daughter-in-law Lori Smith of Homerville, GA.; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Trey Murray), Mary (Alex Slusher), Marisa Hayes of Homerville, GA and James "Zeke" Smith of Statesboro, GA.; and his great grandchild William "Bruce" Murray (Rylee Slusher) of Homerville, GA. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Roundtree Funeral Home (240 E Dame Ave, Homerville, GA 31634). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Shiloh Church Cemetery (3841 Shiloh Hwy, Homerville, GA 31634).
