He was predeceased by: his wife Leola Davis Smith; his sons, Rob Smith and Dennis D. Smith; and his siblings, Betty Ruth Smith, Annie Lounette and Aaron Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Nita Smith, Frank Smith (Janice) of Homerville and Reese Smith of Homerville. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
