She was predeceased by: her mothers, Abbie Efton and Doris Jenkins Aaron; and her husband James Thomas Reems, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Steve (Susan Reems), Bobby Reems of Jefferson, Freddie Reems of Homer, Gail Taylor of Demorest and Annette Modesto of Murphy, NC. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
