He was predeceased by: his daughter Tammy Jo Slaton; and his brothers, Howard Slaton and Marvin Slaton. He is survived by: his wife Betty Rhinehart Slaton of Homer; his children, Kim Farmer and Jeff Slaton of Carnesville; his siblings, Hilda McKillip, James Slaton of Carnesville and Glenn Slaton of Alpharetta; his grandchildren, Jared Slaton, Logan Slaton, Jonathan Zimmerman and Krissy Zimmerman; and his great grandchild McKenna Zimmerman.
