As Wendell Lee departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Wendell Lee may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Wendell Lee leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his father Guy. He is survived by: his siblings, Cindy Wright of Hogansville and Hal; his sister-in-law Kay Helton of Grantville; and his nieces and nephews, Nickie Crawford (Josh), Bubba Barrett (Angela), Chasitie Helton, Wendi Zell (Ben), Britany Helton (Jonathan Compton) and Hunter Helton (Ivy). He is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home (208 Johnson St, Hogansville, GA 30230).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emory Winship Cancer Institute in Atlanta.
