He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Triplett Trainer and Roy Trainer; and his siblings, Jean Smith, Russell Trainer, Donald Trainer and Gary Trainer.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Lee Mast Trainer; his children, Becky Warren (Joe), Mary Lou Scarberry, Rhonda West, Tim Trainer (Lisa), Jerry Trainer (Angela) and Amy Brown (Jim); and his brother George Trainer. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
