It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred N. Hurst of Hogansville, Georgia, who passed away on January 8, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Mildred may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Adam Noblett and Effie Mae Stewart Noblett; and her husband S. L. Hurst. She is survived by: her daughter Marie; her son-in-law Jim Call of Greenville; her sons, Raymond (Cathy Hurst) and Edward (Dawn Hurst); and her brother James Noblett of Newnan. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home (208 Johnson St, Hogansville, GA 30230). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Westview Cemetery (1680 Westview Dr SW, Atlanta, GA 30310).
