She was predeceased by: her parents, Judson D. Lester and Mattie Lee Porter Lester; her husband Carlton C. Garner; and her sons, Steve Garner (Lynne Garner) and Charles Garner (Tracy Thornton).
She is survived by: her daughters, Shelly Garner (Scott Fleming) and Tandra Coleman (Walter Coleman) of Fayetteville; her siblings, Tobie Oliver, Helen Ellis, Sheila Manning, Dennis Lester and Don Lester; and also Jimmy Lester. She is also survived by five grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home (208 Johnson St, Hogansville, GA 30230). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sherwood Memorial Park (6841 Tara Blvd, Jonesboro, GA 30236).
