He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Powell and Ann B. Nelms Powell; his son Jeremy Powell; and his brothers, Tommy Powell and Ronnie Powell.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Dutton Powell; his son Shane Powell (Jessica); his brothers, James Powell (Jana) and Edmond Powell; his grandchildren, Milo Powell, Skyler, Landon and Taylor Powell; and also Tiffany. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
