He was predeceased by: his parents, Wiley Joseph Wade and Maggie Cavender Wade; his siblings, Lurley Mae Cavender, Duke Wade, Ruby Stowe, Ruth Stedman, Dot Davis and Jack Wade; his grandson Chris Wade; and his son-in-law David Woody.
He is survived by: his wife Elvie Stitcher Wade; his children, Joseph Wade (Sharon), Rickey Wade (Peggy), Sharon Woody, Hugh Wade, Mark Wade (Arlene) and Linda Dukes (Benjie); his brother Billy Joe Wade (Ellen); his grandchildren, Karla Wade Richards (Tommy), Christy Wade (Josh) of Washington, Lynn Wade Thrailkill (Stan), Les Woody (Kandy), Steve Woody, Tim Woody, Jeff Woody (April), Tamara Dukes Massengill, Kendall Dukes Jones (Terry) and Maggie Dukes Pritchett (Tyler); and his great grandchildren, Oren Richards, Shylie Richards, Jesse Richards, Evan Thompson, Sam of Washington, Henry of Washington, Shelby Givins, Mallory Godfrey, Grant Thrailkill, Chris Woody, Caleb Woody, Brent Woody, Jackson Massengill, Olivia Massengill, Kenleigh-Reese Jones, Levi Jones, Beckham Pritchett, Kanon Pritchett and Jillian Pritchett. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
