He is survived by: his sons, Ed Friend, Jr. (Tina) of Manchester and Michael Friend (Jamie) of Hogansville; his sister Lea Friend Lacey (Jerry); his grandchildren, Brayson Friend and Brent Friend; and also Shawn Weldon.
