He is survived by: his wife Nancy Crews Thrift; his sons, James Edward Thrift (Gloria) of Nahunta, David Ronald Thrift, Sr. (Ginger) of Hortense, Gregg Riley Thrift (Faye) of Hoboken and Teddy Keith Thrift (Elizabeth) of Nahunta; and his siblings, Ray Thrift of Blackshear and Dorthea Nell Hodges (Rommie) of Pensacola. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and 17 great great grandchildren.
