“Pat and I went to Brantley County High School, back in the 1970s. Although we didn't speak much to each other, we were in many of the same classes, and I liked Pat in a vague way. Not a friend, exactly, but a friendly face. But Pat and I got along famously on the internet 40-50 years later. I'll miss her. She had more wit and more character than most folks do.”
