He was predeceased by: his wife Melva Maggie Pearl Lauer. He is survived by: his children, James Vaughn of Michigan, Christopher Vaughn of Hiram, GA, Amber Cross of Mableton, GA, John Bruce of Hiram, GA and Amy Lauer of Mableton, GA; his siblings, Russell, Kristine Lauer of Arlington, TX, Cheryl Lauer of Magnolia, Donald, Melissa Lauer of Lincoln, Delaware, Margie, Chip Rosan of Dover, Susan and John Hopple of Blackhawk, SD; and his grandchildren, Gage Fugerson, Mattie Owen, Jamie Owen, Nicholas Cross, Thomas Vaughn, Austin Vaughn, Alex Herberth, Cason Jones, Kaylynn Weaver and Zaylee Bruce. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
