He was predeceased by: his father Robert Grier; his son Douglas Allen Gober; and his brother Ernest Gober. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Gober; his children, John Gober (Ryan) and Lisa Taylor (Tommy); his sister Judy Clark (Paul); his grandchildren, Cassie Pulliam (Jason), Brooke Horner (Shannon), Emma Gober, Ella Gober and Essa Gober; and his great grandchildren, Taylor Pulliam, Sam Pulliam, Peyton Horner, Brody Horner, Cade Horner and Ridge Horner. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws, and brother-in-laws.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mr. Gober's honor towards the Marcus Autism Center, 1920 Briar Cliff Road Atlanta, Ga 30329.
