He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Kirk and Mamie Crook Kirk; his brother Joseph Kirk, Jr.; and his niece Karen Blair. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Kirk; his children, Richard Mark Kirk and Lynn Kirk Wilson (Danny); his grandchildren, Ashley Kirk-Kramer, Chrissie Kirk, Danielle Wilson, Caleb Wilson and Margo Wilson; and his niece Kristi Dubey. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made in Richard's honor to Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
