She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren Sweat and Fleda Sweat; her husband Bobby Smith; and her son Greg Smith. She is survived by: her sons, Jeff Smith (Jan) and Doug Smith; and her daughter-in-law Rhonda Smith. She is also survived by five grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Peggy's name, as a tribute to her generous spirit and her dedication to supporting important causes.
