He was predeceased by: his parents, Hudie Monroe Martin (Barbara) and Edith Marie Lunsford Tucker (Junior); his grandparents, Franklin Martin, Doralee Land Martin, Ralf Ostin Lunsford and Emma Bell Moore; his son Patrick Frank Martin; his siblings, Catherine Martin Tucker, Joyce Martin Tucker, Evelyn Martin Tucker, Martha Ellen Norris, Betty Mae Williams and Clarence Martin; and his grandson J. R. "Skeeter" Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Nelda Jean Anderson Martin of Hiram; his children, Pam Martin Myers (Ken) of Dallas, Nelva Martin of Hiram and Mike Martin (Kim) of Hiram; his sisters, Phyllis Tucker Broadwell (Allen) of Adairsville, Barbara Ann Penny of Monticello, Dorothy Jean Melton (Sidney) of Stockbridge, Joyce Juanita Cortez of Newnan and Charlotte Joan Martin Smith of Thomaston; his siblings-in-law, Mauricette Martin of Forest Park and Bob Anderson of Fayetteville; his grandchildren, Shane Martin of Chattanooga, TN, Audrey Martin Rice (Alan) of Kennesaw, Rhoda Smith of Temple, Ben Myers (Susan) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Amy E. Myers of Dallas, Mamie Smith Hays (Donnie) of Dallas and Henry Smith of Dallas; and his great grandchildren, Anthony Rice, Avery Rice, Abbie Rice, Luke Mayes, Jake Hays, Leland Smith and Micah Grant. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
