She was predeceased by: her parents, Millard Lanning and Mamie Louise Lanning; her husband Hubert Blackmon; and her son Scott Blackmon. She is survived by: her children, Glenda Bruns (Richard), Tony Blackmon (Denise), Becky Scalise (Sean) and Debbie McCleary (Neal); her grandchildren, Brandy Locklear (Robby), Kelly DeVore (Kyle), Christy Russell (Ricky), Vickie McCleary, Joshua Parks, Bobby Blackmon, Michael Blackmon, Valerie Ott and Neal McCleary; and her siblings, Mevlyn Durden, Irene Brookshire, Marie Hall, Brenda Lanning, Bobbie Lanning, Sue Lanning and Frank Lanning. She is also survived by extended family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests pottable plants and flowers be brought so they can continue Margie's love of gardening.
