He was predeceased by: his parents, Cline Dayton and Ruth Moss Dayton; and his brothers, Jack, Bob and Bruce Dayton.
He is survived by: his wife Opal Dawn Payne Dayton of Hiram, GA.; his daughter Lisa; his son-in-law Dennis Whitfield of Hiram; his son Keith Dayton of Blairsville; his grandchildren, Devin Whitfield and Erin Whitfield; and his siblings, Hugh Dayton of Smyrna, GA., Wilda Bishop of Hiawassee, Wanda (Joe Rumfelt) and Madge (John Oswald). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, many other relatives, and friends.
Flowers are accepted or if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Alzheimer Foundation in Mr. Dayton's memory.
