He was predeceased by: his parents, L. M. Tibbitts (Fate) and Bertha Womack Tibbitts; his wife Catherine Tibbitts; his brother Umbry Tibbitts; his son-in-law Mark Serrano; and his granddaughter Kasey Fennell.
He is survived by: his children, Cathie T. Serrano, Vickie Smith (Brent), Terry Tibbitts (Shelia) and Jill Marlow; and his sisters, Doris Lance and Helen Thomas. He is also survived by four grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
