She was predeceased by: her parents, William Avance and Ombra Ivy Avance; her former husband Melvin Black; her granddaughter Robin Sims; and her stepdaughter Jamie Fielder.
She is survived by: her husband James William Freeman; her children, Susan Cochran, Peggie Higgs and George Black; her stepdaughter Lisa (Roger Baty); her son-in-law Andy Fielder; her grandchildren, Chad Higgs, William Higgs (Leanna), Dustin Cochran, Evan Cochran (Jessica), Krystal "Danny" Black, John Black, Peter Black, Jessica Baty McMillion (Christian), Michael Baty, Kelly Baty, Andrew Fielder and Ryan Fielder; and her great grandchildren, James Higgs, Anna Cochran, Landon Cochran, Rylee Sims, Kallie McMillion, Charlotte Baty, Leyah, David, Chelse and Johnny.
