He is survived by: his wife Peggy Barfield Moss; his children, Teresa Nelson, Dawn Carroll Newsome (Neal Carroll) and Corey Wilson (Jolyn); his grandchildren, Jessica Nelson, Joshua Nelson, Jasmine Kessinger (Drew), Kayla Blair (Garrett) and Lindsie Wilson; and his nephew James.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Clark Funeral Home (4373 Atlanta Hwy, Hiram, GA 30141). The lying in state was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Grove Church (1605 Mars Hill Rd, Acworth, GA 30101). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
