With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Howard Helms of Hiram, Georgia, born in Cleveland, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 19, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Helms and Rose Straka; his sons, Daniel Helms and Matthew Helms; and his sister Carol Folmer.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Helms; his children, Jeanne Day (Robert), David Helms and Janet Evans (Cliff); his daughter-in-law Anna Helms; his grandchildren, Nichole Cartrette (Joshua), Jacquelyn Cartrette, Jamie Rudik (Igor), Anthony Haney (Adria), Deanna Haney (Gary), Meagan Reger (Jay), Kristina Suppa (Jeremy), Derek Helms (Cassi), Stephanie Edwards (Mathew), Justin Day, Joshua Helms and Benjamin Helms; and his great grandchildren, Abigail Cooper, Jack Cooper, Lucas Cooper, Layla Reger, Tyler Edwards, Nathan Edwards, Allison Edwards, Jacob Edwards, William Coggins and Cooper Day.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Clark Funeral Home (4373 Atlanta Hwy, Hiram, GA 30141). A memorial service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sam Clark Chapel (4373 Atlanta Hwy, Hiram, GA 30141).
