He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Gilbert and Nannie Gilbert; his daughter Regina Thrasher; his brother Bobby Gilbert; and his brother-in-law Steve Richardson.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Gilbert; his children, Randy Gilbert (Michelle), Steve Gilbert (Heather), Annette McRae and Karan Hadley (Danny); his siblings, Larry Gilbert, Judy Richardson and Sandra Thomason (Richard); his grandchildren, Brittany Allen (Hunter), Casey McRae, Kyle Hadley (Louisa), Caleb McRae (Jordan), Shelby Thrasher, Zachary Thrasher, Sydney Crow (Brandon), Graci McRae and Bailey Gilbert; and his great grandchildren, Harrison Allen, Gil Hadley, Hadley Allen, Law Hadley and Laken McRae. He is also survived by his family and cherished his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
