Gary Thaxton Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary Thaxton (Hiram, Georgia), who passed away on February 16, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brother Hulon Thaxton; his half-siblings, Margerete Joe Hardy and D. W. Dean; and his grandson Nathan Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Faye Thaxton; his children, Treshia Lindsey (Jim), Sandi Hembree (Travis), Lynn Kanouff (Tim) and Steve Grogan (Jennifer); his sister Linda Lindsey; his grandchildren, Vanessa Woodard (Mark), Tristen Hembree, Skyler Hembree, Morgan Moon, Whitney Yarbrough, Nicky Lindsey, Jesse Hall, Cody Hall, Josh Grogan and Hudson Grogan; his great grandchildren, Bradley Woodard, Chase Lindsey, Tiffton Hall, Wyatt Hall, Hunter Hall, Beckett Hall, Jaylen Yarbrough, Tigg Moon, Bree Gentry (Brandon), Leeah Wynn (Jacob), Aubree Hall, Avery Hall and Layton Hall; and his great great grandchildren, Anniston Gentry and Jett Wynn.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Gary's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
