With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edna Smith of Hiram, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 19, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward J Newton and Fannie Lou Newton; her husband Jimmy Lee Smith; and her brothers, Charles Newton and JD Newton.
She is survived by: her brother Carl Newton; her sister-in-law Martha Rakestraw of Hiram; her siblings, Joe Newton (Sue) of Thomaston, Georgia and Elizabeth Lewis of McDonough, Georgia; her granddaughter Zoe Smith; and her son Randall Lee Smith. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Shriners of Paulding County in Edna's honor. Donations may be dropped off at Clark Funeral Home or mailed to 198 Old Atlanta Rd, Hiram, GA 30141-.
