She was predeceased by: her father Dallas Williams; and her husband Kenneth Paul Whitley Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Tina Brooks (Marvin), Cathy Whitley, Kenneth Whitley Jr. (Wendy) and Michelle Werner (Steve); her brother Carl "Peewee" Williams; her grandchildren, Frankie Brooks, Rana Faulkner, Catie Prince, Jamie Prince, Carson Payne, Karissa Whitley, Christian Whitley, Kassidy Werner and Savannah Werner; and her great grandchildren, Brooke Faulkner, Bubba Brooks, Brayden Abbott, Abigail Abbott, Caydence Prince, Colton Payne, Calie Payne, Carter Payne, Josey Prince and Lillyann Prince.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Mrs. Carolyn's name towards Breast Cancer Research or the Alzheimer's Association .
