She is survived by: her children, Eddie Whitener, Charles W. Whitener (Joelle) and Sheila Dyer; her sister Marion Freeman; and her grandchildren, Nicole McBrayer, James LaRoche, Caleb Whitener, Joshua Whitener and Seth Whitener. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
