She was predeceased by: her father Andrew Mullinix; her husband Darrell Carter; and her brother Gary Kendall. She is survived by: her children, Misty Pardon (Erin), Pamela Carter (Chris Gravely), Sara Weir (Timothy) and William Carter; her siblings, Terri Hitchcock (Jeff), Nathan Mullinix, Kathy Ward, Linda Jenkins and Lisa Mullinix; and her grandchildren, Victoria Pardon, Chance Jarrard, Anniston Bay Pardon, Hayley Simpson, Katlin Simpson, Christopher Minter, MaKayla Minter, Dustin Gravely, Amy Weir, Brent Allen Weir, EJ Weir and Isaiah Weir. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
