He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Russell Wells and Willie Lee Salter Wells; his spouse Latrelle Middleton; his children, John Wesley Wells, Ralph Issac Wells and Penny Wells; and his brother Eugene Wells.
He is survived by: his children, Rick Wells (Linda) and Suzanne Wells Hunt (Tommy); his sister Myrtice Edwards of Hinesville; and his grandchildren, Amy Jaeger (Ben), Jessica Woods, James Penley (Kaitlin), Stephanie Beaudry, Cole Hunt, Klein Hunt, Krews Hunt, Sean Burbano (Kim) and Michael Burbano. He is also survived by his 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews as well as many friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Kennedy Funeral Homes ~ Hooks Chapel (223 SW Broad St, Metter, GA 30439). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 at 3:30 PM at the Gum Branch Cemetery.
